2015 International Food Safety Forum Held in Beijing, CFSA Experts Awarded The Honor
2015 international forum on food safety was held by CFSA, International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) and Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST) from April 22nd to 23th in Beijing, focusing on constructing safety and healthy food industrial chain. More than 400 governmental officials, experts, scholars and managers come from China, United States, European, Ireland, Japan and Australia in WHO, Codex Alimentarius Committee (CAC), attended this forum and discussed over the food industrial safety, food safety risk surveillance and alert, food safety standards, etc. Representatives from China Food and Drug administration (CFDA) attended and addressed at the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, IUFoST and CIFST hosted the award ceremony to honor individuals and teams who have contributed to the Chinese and the global food safety enterprise. CFSA’s division of risk communication was honored science communication award; researcher Mrs. Xiumei Liu was awarded the spirit of science; researcher Mrs. Ning Li was honored the national outstanding scientific and technological workers. This forum consisted of one general conference and seven sessions. More than 50 global renowned experts gave speech or special report. During the conference, more than 50 media were invited to face-to-face communicate with scientists to draw the public attention on food safety risk as well as to build the protection from food safety risk.
